Basic Food Hygiene Training / Food Safety for Food Handlers

The current Hygiene of Foodstuffs Regulations requires all food handlers to be trained and/or supervised commensurate with their work activity. It is essential that all personnel involved in the handling, preparation, cooking, distribution and storage of food is aware of the principles of food hygiene and can apply these principles to their daily tasks.

FSC Ltd. offers a training course in Basic Food Hygiene designed to provide food handlers working in manufacturing, catering and retail operations with all of the knowledge they require to ensure the food that they are handling and serving to their customers is safe.

A number of key areas are covered in this training course such as:

Course duration is three hours approximately followed by an exam. The course is also designed to cater for non English speaking delegates. The use of DVD showing good and bad practise is also used during the training course to help delegates understand the do’s and don’ts of working in a food environment. The course is interactive and is practical by relating to everyday issues encountered by the food handler.
